# Claudine

> Claudine is a kanban board for Claude Code and OpenAI Codex conversations. It runs as a VS Code extension or as a standalone browser app, giving developers a real-time visual overview of all their AI coding agent sessions.

## What Claudine does

- Reads Claude Code and OpenAI Codex session files and renders them as a kanban board
- Cards move through columns automatically: To Do → Needs Input → In Progress → In Review → Done
- Detects rate limits, shows reset countdowns, and optionally auto-restarts paused tasks
- Displays sidechain (subagent) activity dots so you can see which agents are working, completed, or failed
- Smart Board: a cross-project overview with Running, Needs Input, and In Review lanes
- Full-text search, category filters, drag-and-drop, AI-powered summaries, and AI-generated icons
- Question detection: cards show a "?" badge and move to Needs Input when the agent asks something
- Resizable columns and project panes, zoom 50–150%, auto-orientation for panel vs sidebar
- Localized in English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian

## Standalone mode

- Run without VS Code: starts an HTTP + WebSocket server in the browser
- Monitors all Claude Code and Codex instances across every project on the machine
- Multi-project view with sidebar navigator, activity indicators, and collapsible panes
- Progressive loading, desktop notifications, theme toggle, and settings persistence
